Should Astroport migrate its Hub from @terra_money to @neutron_org ? Astroport contributors shared their thoughts during a recent Twitter Space. Some of the key takeaways of views expressed by contributors on the Space: 1. Astroport is NOT abandoning Terra. If the proposal is approved, nothing would change for end users. The Terra Outpost would remain active, and traders and LPs could continue using Astroport on Terra just as they do today. The only things that would move are staking and governance (specifically, voting and/or putting forth new proposals). 2. Neutron offers several key technological upgrades that are designed to turn "smart contracts into first-class citizens" in the Cosmos. For example, smart contracts on Neutron can create interchain accounts, use interchain queries (to pull in data from other chains) and receive IBC callbacks (messages on the success or failure of cross-chain transactions). There's also work underway to enable atomic, cross-chain transactions for all chains in the ATOM Economic Zone (AEZ). These upgrades make it much easier for a protocol like Astroport which does not have its own chain and exists purely as smart contracts to roll out certain types of new and advanced features. 3. Passive Concentrated Liquidity (PCL) pools launched first on Terra. And Terra would continue to receive any upgrades that Astroport contributors roll out (so long as they're possible on Terra). This also holds true for any other chain where Astroport is deployed. 4. Currently, Neutron has the highest TVL across all the chains where Astroport is deployed. It makes sense to host governance on the chain with the most at stake. Neutron also features shared security with Cosmos Hub, so it would ensure Astroport is as secure as it can possibly be. 5. Since Astroport doesn't have its own chain, it's subject to whatever happens on the chains where it's deployed. If something happens to a given chain, Astroport has no recourse. It's gg for reasons that are entirely out of Astroport's hands. That leaves apps with two choices: deploy their own chain so they "own the land where they build" or deploy somewhere that's extremely secure. Neutron fits that bill. 6. Neutron was engineered from the ground up to thrive in the Cosmos' multi-chain ecosystem, and Astroport's Hub and Outpost model aligns quite naturally with that vision. Want more?
